Frequently Asked Questions (and Occasionally Answered)
"Is it really just you, Bart?"
Yes, from the first email to the final drop-off. No call centers, no mystery drivers, just me and the VW. It keeps things simple and avoids any "lost in translation" moments.
What makes VanBartGetaway different from a standard taxi or tour?
In a word: Standards. I am an owner-driver, which means the buck stops with me. I don't watch the clock, I don't rush you through lunch to meet a quota, and I don't treat you like cargo. Whether we are discussing WWII history or simply enjoying the view, the day is built around you. Plus, with my background, I can navigate a mountain pass as smoothly as I navigate a conversation.
"Do you really pick up from hotels for free?"
Of course. Walking to a meeting point is for tourists; being picked up at the door is for travelers. If your hotel has a curb, I’ll be there.
"Wait, is it a Multivan or a Caravelle?"
Ah, the great naming mystery. In Continental Europe, it’s a Multivan. In the UK, they call it a Caravelle. It’s exactly the same German-engineered beauty, just with a different badge to keep the islanders on their toes. Whether you call it a lounge on wheels or a luxury shuttle, it’s still the same smooth ride (and yes, the steering wheel is on the left, which makes my life much easier on these roads).
As long as there’s a road and a return trip involved, the answer is usually "Yes." Berlin? Prague? A remote castle in the woods? Let’s talk.
"Is there room for my luggage?"
Unless you’re moving a grand piano, we should be fine. It’s a Multivan, not a Mini Cooper.
Who is Bart?
I am your driver, guide, and logistics expert. I’m a Polish native who spent 21 years living in the UK (mostly in Milton Keynes—don't hold it against me). For the last five years, I’ve worked as a specialist driver for the Formula 1 and events industry, transporting equipment across Europe. I have extensive training in defensive driving and safety. Essentially, I’ve swapped the F1 paddock for the Polish countryside, but I’ve kept the obsession with precision and safety.
"What’s the deal with the VW Multivan?"
It’s not a "bus"—it’s a lounge on wheels. It’s got enough German engineering to make a clock-maker weep, plenty of legroom, and I keep it cleaner than my own living room.

"Can we go further than Lower Silesia?"
Do you speak English?
Fluently. After two decades in the UK, I speak native Polish and fluent English (with a hint of a British accent). I understand the nuance of British humour, so no need to worry about your sarcasm getting lost in translation.
Do you speak Dutch?
Sadly, no—though I have picked up a few colourful phrases from working with Dutch colleagues over the years! That said, living in Milton Keynes (the HQ of Red Bull Racing) meant I bumped into Max Verstappen more times than I can count. While his vocabulary didn't rub off on me, his precision behind the wheel certainly did. So, while I can’t offer you a conversation in fluent Dutch, I can promise a drive that Max would approve of—just at a much safer speed.
I require a discreet, executive chauffeur service. What does your VIP package entail?
Absolutely. My VIP service is designed for clients who require total privacy and impeccable standards.
The Look: For these bookings, I trade my smart-casual tour attire for a full black suit, white shirt, and tie.
The Vehicle: The van is entirely unmarked and features factory-tinted privacy glass with integrated sunblinds. You cannot be seen from the outside, making it perfect for high-profile individuals or confidential business discussions.
The Service: This is a comprehensive "meet and greet" experience. I handle all luggage, open doors for you, and remain on standby for the duration of your booking. Whether you are attending a gala, a board meeting, or simply prefer to travel with the highest level of courtesy, you will receive the same treatment as the F1 team principals I used to work for.

Ready to getaway?
I am always looking for a good excuse to fire up the engine. Whether you need a quote, want to check availability, or simply have a question about the passenger space, drop me a line. I aim to reply to all enquiries swiftly—unless, of course, I’m doing what I love best and driving. I’ll be in touch the second I park up.
